ABOUT THE CLIENT
Bethell Group is one of the UK’s leading privately-owned construction and utility services companies, established in 1865. With a long heritage and strong reputation for innovation, Bethell delivers complex civil engineering and multi-utility projects across the North West and beyond.
On behalf of strategic client United Utilities, Bethell commenced a major sewer improvement scheme at Hoyles Lane, Cottam, in March 2024. The £multi-million project involves upgrading approximately 4,000 metres of existing sewers to alleviate flooding risks and provide greater resilience for residents.
This large-scale, multi-year programme required a welfare setup that matched the scale and ambition of the project — and that’s where Kensite came in.
“The Cottam project demanded a welfare setup that could handle serious numbers and serious conditions. Kensite delivered exactly that. From day one, the compound was fully kitted out, clean, functional, and ready for the team.
We've got multiple units, all the facilities we need, and a layout that just works. When you're working on a scheme this size, you need a welfare partner who understands scale and can deliver it without fuss. Kensite did that, and they've stayed on top of it throughout.”
— Adrian Townsend, Contracts Manager, Bethell Group
